I welcomed you to my sacred grounds, allowing you to trample upon them as you explored my caves.

And when you invited me to yours, it was eroded by the crashing waves.

Unfortunately, I discovered knowledge a little too late, but even so, I chose to sit around and wait.

My efforts and my time had all gone to waste.

Unwilling to try for me as I did for you, I had no choice but to let you loose.

For to have your petals torn apart and scattered upon my grounds would have brought inner shame to your name.

And I had always known I was respectfully fiercer than you.

I wonder if I was the wave that turned your world all blue.
